San Leanna, TX Real Estate

The village of San Leanna Texas is situated in Travis county just minutes from downtown Austin. San Leanna started out as an Austin suburb in the 1950s with less than 150 residents but slowly grew. In 1970 the area was incorporated and elected its first mayor. The community grew to include 200 residents. Today San Leanna is a thriving small Austin Suburb in the Round Rock metro area and currently has somewhere around 500 residents.

Most homes in San Leanna were built in the 1970s through the 1990s. These homes are typical for the time period and you can find charming streets with large trees and well kept homes in San Leanna. For those looking for a more modern home San Leanna can offer these also as new home builders in recent years have found their way to San Leanna. New communities often offer community amenities including pools and parks and other community areas. These developments are well thought out and designed and provide a sense of community within the streets and roads of these residential areas.

San Leanna is a proud participant in the Austin Independent School district; with good reason. Despite the vast number of schools and students of this ISD the attention each student receives is that of a much smaller district. The students of Austin ISD thrive on an environment rich in learning and accentuated with athletic activities and extra curricular activities that produce well rounded eager and happy students. The teachers are fortunate to receive much help and participation from the parents of its students and this cooperation only heightens the learning process for the students of the Austin Independent School District.

Because of the cooperation between community teachers and parents the students within the district consistently score high on nationwide and state testing while the individual schools have received numerous awards and designations recognizing excellence in learning.

For a small community life within the big city, San Leanna can offer residents not only a quiet life but one that includes the resources, amenities and recreational activities the city of Austin is famous.
